Dear Friends and Family,

Welcome to our wedding at Wilde Lodge!

We are beyond excited to celebrate this special day with our closest loved ones, and look forward to welcoming you at Wilde Lodge!

Located on the edge of the stunning Shropshire Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the Lodge is surrounded by picturesque walks and breathtaking views.

We are thrilled to share this incredible journey with you as we prepare to say "I do" at this beautiful venue. Nestled along the River Teme, straddling the border between Wales and England, this stunning location provides the perfect backdrop for our wedding weekend, and we are so happy to have you join us.

As we count down the days, we've created this space to provide you with all the details you'll need for the weekend – from the event schedule to travel tips – as well as a sneak peek into the celebration that’s lies ahead.

Thank you for your endless love and support and for being part of this memorable chapter in our lives. We can't wait to celebrate with all of you!

With love,

Lucy & Tommy x

Morning: Please feel free to join us on site for a ‘wedding debrief’ in the form of a Wild Swim in the River Teme (if you’re feeling brave enough!) and a walk around the beautiful grounds surrounding Wilde Lodge.

If you’d rather feed the hangover, there’s a list of some great local café’s/restaurants which can be found here.

Midday: We’ll be serving up a Farewell lunch, please BYOB (the bar will not be open) and join us for an afternoon of continued celebrations!

Note: Sunday is a BYOB day (there a co-op 7 minutes’ drive away)…the bar will not be open but we will have some food!

Accommodation

From Air BnB’s to Country House Hotels, please see below a selection of local accommodation options.

Children

Although we love all of your children, due to the nature of the venue, unfortunately we won’t be able to accommodate children outside of the wedding party. We hope you understand and look forward to celebrating with you!

Dress code

Summer Smart/Semi-formal garden party is the vibe, but please wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
We are planning to have both our ceremony & reception outside to make use of the beautiful grounds at Wilde Lodge, so please bear in mind for footwear.

As we are in Wales, the weather can be somewhat ‘unpredictable’ (even in July!), so please consider bringing something warm for the evening. We will have the fire pits lit in the evening!
For more details please see Wilde lodge’s “Guest Kit List”.

Parking & Taxis

There is free onsite parking at the venue.

Because of the rural location, we have the use of a local taxi firm for the evening, but this will still need booking in advance as there’s no Uber service here!

Please call Wolf Cars on 01584856690 and let them know where you’ll be staying, and that you’ll be coming to our wedding on 5th July at Wilde Lodge, and they’ll be able to get you booked in.

Gifts

Having the pleasure of your company on our special day is a gift in itself, so we do not expect any presents! However, if you would like to gift us something, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be very much appreciated.

The easiest way to get to the venue is by car, however please note the postcode ‘LD7 1LU’ takes you 900m short of the driveway by Radnor Water. When it says you’ve arrived, continue on for 900m towards Knighton and Wilde Lodge is on the right hand side. Look for a line of Oak trees and the ‘Wilde Lodge’ sign.

And Google Maps link can be found here: Google Maps Link

You’re welcome to leave your car overnight.

There are two train stations near Wilde Lodge.

Bucknell which is an 8 minute car journey, and Knighton which is a 10 minute car journey.
