This is a hidden treasure for the discerning couples who don’t fit into the standard wedding category.
(You won’t find us at wedding fairs!)
The Lodge Accommodation
The main lodge can sleep up to 14 guests in 6 large and sumptuous bedrooms. The lodge is fully furnished and stocked with bed linen and all the usual house amenities.
The fireplace in both our cosy sitting room and spectacular dining room will be filled stocked throughout your stay. The dining room has a wonderful atmosphere and can seat 18 guests.
The house also contains an outdoor BBQ and outdoor furniture.
The Long Barn
Licensed for wedding ceremonies the barn is a magical, rustic and intimate space that can be used throughout your stay. From intimate family meals, your wedding ceremony or as a dance floor. We have had couples use it as a games barn throughout the weekend, a specialist bar area, a chill-out space or as somewhere to put the hot tubs!
The capacity:
- 90 guests seated in rows for a wedding ceremony
- 50 guests for sit down meals
- 100 guests standing as a bar or dance area
The Wilde Safari Tent
And for even more entertaining space, opposite the Long barn is our bespoke safari tent.
Nestled within the barn walls is our huge Safari tent, offering a blank canvas allowing you to make your special day your own.
- With space for 120 guests for sit down meals and 150 guests standing as a bar or dance area.
- A spectacular 16ft solid oak bar
The Open Barn
A huge open sided barn that can take up to 120 guests. With hay bale seating and a breathtaking view of the lodge and woodlands beyond.
This is a great ceremony space, but can also be used for dancing, an outdoor bar area or just somewhere to chill out and take it all in.
The grounds, river & the surroundings
The ground, river & the surroundings; we have 15 acres of gardens and grounds, including a walled garden with lawn - great for drinks or relaxing to watch the world roll by. The lodge is perched above the river teme and is fabulous for an early morning dip and behind us lies several trails and leads up to the Offas Dyke footpath - it is great for walking, cycling or running ... or just heading off to the local pub.
Catering & Bar Services
We have a list of very talented caterers that we have worked with for the past 8 years. They know the lodge and its set up and have developed their menus in keeping with the backdrop of our breathtaking scenery and pace at Wilde Lodge. From pop-up mobile bar to bar teams coming in to take our our 16 ft solid oak bar, we have a list of suppliers that you can use to run your drinks for your event. For smaller groups, you may wish to stock your own bar, we do not charge corkage.
Bell Tent Village
Bespoke bell tent villages can be set up for up to an additional 100 guests. Guests are given a link to the bell tent village so they can choose what type of tent and furnishings they would like to book.
