Accommodation
We’d really recommend staying on site; it’s surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside and we will be continuing the celebrations with BBQ and games on Sunday to swap stories from the night before!
Luxury glamping is available on site, courtesy of Hels Bells Tent who will set everything up for you ahead of time. You can stumble into these at the end of the night, so no need to leave early or book a taxi.
● The tents range in size to fit 2, 4 or 6 occupants. All tents will be set up for the 3 nights.
● Luxury washrooms are provided for showers, toilets and freshening up (no porta-loos!)
● An indoor area is available all weekend for hair styling and make-up to ensure no compromises need to be made to get everyone looking and feeling fabulous.
● The tents do not have power sockets but there are plenty of socks across Wilde Lodge to charge your phone over the weekend. If you need power to glamp for another reason please speak to Zoe & Mitch.
● On Friday and Sunday there is a kitchen area with a kettle and small fridge for all glampers to use. On Saturday there will be limited access as this is where the caterers are prepping the wedding feast. We recommend bringing a mug/travel mug for hot drinks. Camping stoves are also permitted on the patio area.

Day Guests and staying off-site
If glamping is not your thing, there are a number of other fantastic accommodation options nearby recommended by Wilde Lodge, all of which can be found further down the page. Please be aware Wilde Lodge is very rural and taxis are limited, so please book your taxis as far out as possible, a list of local companies can be found below.
Those not glamping should arrive from no later than 12pm on Saturday 23rd August.
Dress Code
Saturday - Garden casual or dressy-casual (ties optional).
We’re coming ‘dressed to the nines’ and we encourage all that is colourful, fun and fabulous! Your comfort and authenticity is our biggest concern so please wear what you feel best in. Please note it will likely be hot and sunny (we hope - this is Wales!) and we hope you can wear something you already have, or something you can wear again in the future.
The ground outside the lodge and surrounding the safari tent is graveled so high heels can be tricky. We recommend bringing comfortable shoes for outside and the lawns but you can switch to any glam shoes for the meal and party inside.
Friday & Sunday - No dress codes/come as you are. Bring your swimmers along if you fancy the hot tub or wild swimming - where you’ll find us! Walking shoes recommended for any keen explorers and hikers - where you won’t find us!
Food & Drink
Friday - Dinner is not provided on Friday but there are plenty of places to eat in the local area. Please see the Eating Out Guide for Wilde Lodge’s recommendations below.
Saturday - Breakfast truck at Wilde Lodge selling hot rolls, granola, fruit, pastries, muffins, hot drinks, iced drinks and juices (gluten & vegan options available). Open 7:30-11:00, cash or card.
The rest of the day is fully catered.
Sunday - The same breakfast truck is back - this time open half an hour later. See Saturday breakfast for options. Open 8:00-11:30, cash or card. For afternoon / evening food, we will be sorting the details nearer the time when we have confirmed numbers for Sunday.
If you think you will get hungry, we recommend bringing some tent snacks!
Gifts
Your presence is present enough, but if you would like to give a gift we would love a donation towards our honeymoon by clicking here.
Children
As much as we love your little ones, we kindly ask that this celebration be an adult-only occasion. Thank you for your understanding & we hope with the advance notice you will still be able to join us.
Parking
There is ample parking on site, some of which is on grass.
Trains
The nearest train station is Bucknell (3 miles) with trains every few hours, followed by Ludlow (15 miles) with more frequent trains. Both services operate via Shrewsberry which is on lines with Crewe and Birmingham. If you plan to take the train, kindly let us know in advance your expected station and arrival/departure times so we can coordinate cars to/from the venue.
Taxis
Please book taxis well in advance as Wilde Lodge is extremely remote & the local taxi companies get booked up. They will take bookings 6 months out. Be warned, there is no uber or bolt here!
Wolfcar private hire, Ludlow – 01584 856690
Radnor and Kington Taxi – 01547 560205
Annett’s Taxi, Ludlow – 01584 878787
Local Area
Wilde Lodge is situated right on the edge of the Shropshire Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, with many beautiful walks to enjoy in the area.
Knighton is a small market town, 5 min drive from the venue. It is the closest town to offer a small selection of hotels, B&B’s, pubs, restaurants/take-aways & a small Co-op. There is also a train station & bus route.
Ludlow is the next biggest town, roughly 28 min drive from the venue. A historic market town, Ludlow has a wide range of restaurants, cafés & shops, as well as more accommodation options. The town sits along the main train line running N & S.
Another reminder to RSVP!
If you haven’t already done so, please make sure you have completed the RSVP by 26th April by clicking here (or contacting us directly if you’re struggling with the link!)
